FINANCIAL LITERACY & USE OF DIGITAL TOOLS
Training session on “Financial Literacy & use of Digital Tools” was organized by CBSE on 23.01.2023 for Hubs of Learning Schools and conducted by Birla Balika Vidyapeeth, Pilani, the Lead Collaborator School. Company Secretary Mr. Sunil Sharma, ICICI Prudential was the resource person and Master Trainer from CBSE. He enlightened the teacher participants on “Basics of Financial and Retirement Planning” and gave insights on various plans of investment, their benefits and drawbacks. 109 teachers from HUB schools participated. 51 participants from the Lead Collaborator school – Birla Balika Vidyapeeth, Pilani, 23 from Radha Krishan Birla School, Pilani, 16 from Central Acdemy-2, Khetri Nagar, 14 from Vedant International School, Jhunjhunu and 5 from Sophia Secondary School, Khetri Nagar. The session at Birla Balika Vidyapeeth, Pilani was organized by Academic Coordinators – Mrs. Anju Dogra & Mrs. Savitri Dhayal, Welcome address by Mrs. Achala Verma, Dean Academics, and Closing Remarks and Vote of Thanks extended by Dr. M Kasturi, Principal, Lead Collaborator School – Birla Balika Vidyapeeth, Pilani.English Workshop on Continuous Professional Development

The Resource Persons were CBSE Master Trainer Mrs. Sita A. Kumar, PGT and HOD English, Birla Balika Vidyapeeth, Pilani and Mr. Rajan Kumar, PGT English, Birla School, Pilani. The partner schools that participated were Dundlod Vidyapeeth, Dundlod, Piramal Girls Secondary School, Bagar and Sarvodaya Public School, Buhana alongwith Birla Balika Vidyapeeth, Pilani. The workshop was attended by 20 faculty members of English Department from various schools. The workshop was on 'Challenging Areas of TLP'. The Key areas of discussion were:
- How to engage various learner types in a structured curriculum,how and when to judiciously integrate ICT,smart boards during classroom transactions, e - learning portals
- Sharing of teaching practices and resources in keeping with the best practices in school edu sector
- Activity based learning Vs interactive lecture
- Micro learning in terms of time management
- How to sustain and retain attention span
