The most auspicious ceremonial occasion of the school, Investiture Ceremony was celebrated on 23rd August 2022, with full zeal & zest and enthusiasm. The Investiture Ceremony is one of the momentous occasions when the school entrusts hope, faith and the mantle of responsibility to the newly appointed school cabinet.
The Chief Guest Maj. Gen S S Nair, AVSM, Director Birla Education Trust who was kept company by another eminent guests graced the occasion. The Principal Dr. M Kasturi welcomed the esteemed guests and emphasized that the Investiture ceremony signifies the reliance and confidence that the school consigns in the newly invested office bearers. Donning the mantle of accountability, she also addressed the students as they pledged to bestow their duties to the best of their abilities. She said that she truly believed that the child centric approach will frame a responsible citizen. A garland of motivational words were delivered by the esteemed guest Maj. Gen S S Nair, AVSM. In his speech he guided the Student Council Members to be the role models and render their responsibilities sincerely as the nation builders of tomorrow be proud to be an Indian. He also advised the students to inculcate the values of punctuality, dedication, discipline and determination as they are the torch bearers of tomorrow. And also administered the oath to newly constituted Student Council Members.
The warden Mrs. Suman Shekhawat unraveled the various appointments and stressed that Leaders are not born but are made by their experiences in life. To inculcate the leadership qualities in the students and to give them a feel of functioning of the administrative body, a school prefectorial board was formed after scrutinous interviewing and selection.
The School Head, Deputy School Head along with the Sports Head, Discipline Head, Cultural Head, Food Committee Head, General Secretaries and House Captains and Prefects were conferred with badges and sashes. The elected leaders’ profiles were read out as they proudly marched to be conferred with the positions to take up the responsibilities towards themselves, their school and peers.
It was a proud moment as the three band leaders of Birla Balika Vidyapeeth Band were also felicitated with badges by the Chief Guest. An extremely mesmerizing grand event reverberating with captivating songs that marked the love and devotion for the country.
The event concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by the Dean Academics Mrs. Achala Verma who thanked all the distinguished guests and advised the elected school cabinet to imbibe the spirit of ‘Service Before Self’ in words and deeds and urged them to embrace their duties with humility, perseverance and loyalty.
