Birla Balika Vidyapeeth, Pilani celebrates the 132nd Birth Anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar
The 132nd birth anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Birla Balika Vidyapeeth, Pilani on April 14th, 2023. A special assembly was conducted to commemorate his teachings and honor his countless contributions to the making of present-day independent India.
The event began with lighting the lamp and a prayer to seek blessings from the Almighty. Dr. M. Kasturi, Principal of BBV, staff, and students paid floral tribute to the 'Architect of the Indian Constitution.' On this occasion, the Social Science department organized several activities to enlighten students about the contributions of this iconic leader. The students showcased instances from Babasaheb's early childhood life and "The Making of the Constitution of India" through a skit. They also presented placards that helped the students comprehend the contributions of this national hero in shaping our country.
Principal Ma'am then inspired the students about the importance of the constitution in a citizen's life and how one should dutifully practice their rights. The event culminated with the singing of the National Anthem.
The entire program was conducted by the Social Science department and coordinated by Dr. Sandhya Vyas, HOD SSc.
