Birla Balika Vidyapeeth organizes convention on ‘Fostering School Startups’
Birla Balika Vidyapeeth organized an inspirational convention for the students of classes XI and XII of Birla Balika Vidyapeeth, Birla Public School and Birla School Pilani on ‘Fostering School Startups’ in collaboration with Harsha Rohit Finishing School, ASSOCHAM (Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry of India) & Rajasthan State Development Council on 3rd May 2024. The Resource Persons were Mr. Paresh Gupta (Chair, ASSOCHAM RS DC Start- Up committee, Mr. Gaurav Sharma (CEO, ACIC VGU), Mr. Shubham Gupta (Start Mentor, DoIT&c, Govt. of Rajasthan) and Ms. Harsha Rohit, Founder of Harsha Rohit Finishing School.
The convention began with the lamp lighting ceremony followed by floral welcome of the esteemed guests by Dr. M. Kasturi, Principal, Birla Balika Vidyapeeth and, Mr. Dhirendra Singh, Principal Birla School Pilani.
Mr. Paresh Gupta talked about how School Start-ups could empower young mind while at the same time help cultivate 21st Century skills like Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking and Creativity. This helps in a positive mindset where innovation, resilience and leadership blooms.
Mr. Gaurav Sharma also known as ‘Trashman of Rajasthan’, talked about start- ups that could help create a sustainable world. He also spoke about how students need to be passionate to come up with creative ideas and be full of vitality and energy.
Mr. Shubham Gupta in few words showed his expertise on start-ups and fostering innovation.
The inspirational speeches were followed by an interactive session moderated by Ms. Harsha Rohit. The students put up interesting queries which were well answered by the speakers.
The objective of the convention was to guide and empower the students to flourish holistically and become well-rounded individuals, who are prepared to make a positive impact on the world. The convention was very informative and motivating, imparting valuable tips to the students to fend for themselves in their day to day life.
