Birla Balika Vidyapeeth, Pilani Celebrates National Space Day on August 10, 2024
Birla Balika Vidyapeeth, Pilani organized the "National Space Day 2024" on August 10, 2024, in collaboration with the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) on the "Touching the Moon, Touching Lives: India's Space Saga".
The week-long celebrations, began on August 5, with enthusiastic participation of students in various activities focused on ISRO's contributions to space exploration in essay writing on Chandrayan, poetry writing, painting competition, story writing, debate competition, and model making competition.
On August 10, during a grand celebration esteemed representatives from ISRO Ahmedabad, Dr. Aarti Sarkar, Scientist/Engineer-G, Group Director, (EOSDIS) Space Applications Center, ISRO, Ahmedabad, and Mr. Anand Kumar, Deputy Project Manager (System Integration), ISRO, Ahemdabad delivered inspirational talks on "Their Life Journey; Career Opportunities in ISRO for Students" and "Chandrayan Mission". Student and teacher representatives from Hubs of Learning Partner School, Vedant International Chirawa also participated in the event.
Students actively participated in various activities, showcasing their talents in alignment with ISRO's contributions to space exploration. On August 10, the winners were felicitated by the eminent delegates Smt. Aarti Sarkar, Scientist/Engineer-G, Space Applications Center, and Mr. Anand Kumar, Deputy Project Manager (System Integration) from Space application centre Ahmedabad by presenting ISRO mementos & merit certificates.
