As part of the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0” campaign, students of Birla Balika Vidyapeeth, Pilani actively participated in a meaningful tree plantation and community outreach programme, reflecting their commitment to environmental conservation and social responsibility.

A group of 58 Class XI students, including NCC and non-NCC cadets, visited Shahid Nayak Bajrang Lal Government Secondary School, Kulhariyon Ka Bas under the guidance of in-charge teachers Dr. Sandhya Vyas and Mrs. Divya. The students participated in a tree plantation drive on both the BBV campus and the government school campus, reinforcing the importance of preserving nature and encouraging sustainable environmental practices.

The outreach programme also included the distribution of saplings, books, stationery, and sweets among the students of the government school. To foster warmth and friendship, BBV students presented handmade greeting cards and celebrated a fellow student’s birthday together, creating an atmosphere of joy, inclusion, and mutual respect.
During the visit, the students explored the school campus, interacted with the students and staff, visited the Beauty and Wellbeing Lab, and conducted a socio-economic survey to gain insights into rural life. They also delivered informative sessions on cyber safety, spreading awareness about responsible digital behaviour. Interaction with local women provided valuable understanding of their socio-economic conditions, enriching the students’ learning experience.

Demonstrating the true spirit of community service, the students participated in Shramdan alongside the government school students, contributing to the cleanliness and maintenance of the school premises. The programme nurtured environmental consciousness, compassion, leadership, and civic responsibility while strengthening the bond between the two institutions.
Mrs. Achala Verma, Principal, Birla Balika Vidyapeeth, Pilani, appreciated the students for their enthusiastic participation and encouraged them to continue serving society with dedication, empathy, and a deep commitment to environmental sustainability.
