Doon Cup International School Girls’ Football Championship (23–26 April 2026)
Birla Balika Vidyapeeth, Pilani, proudly participated in the prestigious Doon Cup International School Girls’ Football Championship held from 23 to 26 April 2026. The tournament was hosted by Ecole Globale International Girls’ School, Dehradun.Both the Under-15 and Under-18 teams of the school delivered outstanding performances, showcasing skill, determination, and teamwork, and successfully advanced to the semi-finals.
Under-15 Team Performance
The Under-15 team displayed exceptional form throughout the tournament and secured 3rd place.
- First Match: BBVP defeated Ecole Globale International Girls’ School, Dehradun 7–0.
- Second Match: BBVP defeated Nagar Public School 2–1.
- Third Match: BBVP defeated The Asian School 4–0, qualifying for the semi-finals.
- Placement Match: In a closely contested match against Wynberg Allen School, BBVP emerged victorious 2–0, securing 3rd place.
Under-18 Team Performance
The Under-18 team also performed commendably and reached the semi-finals with consistent results.
- First Match: BBVP defeated Ecole Globale International School 6–0.
- Second Match: BBVP drew with Pinegrove School 1–1.
- Third Match: BBVP drew with The Asian School 1–1.
- Final League Match: BBVP defeated Wynberg Allen School 2–1, qualifying for the semi-finals.
The team went on to win the Shield Trophy, marking a significant achievement.
Individual Achievements
- Drishti Bansal received the Best Goalkeeper award.
- Rinym Doka was awarded Best Midfielder of the tournament.
Overall, the tournament was a remarkable success for the school, reflecting the dedication and sportsmanship of the players. Their achievements have brought pride to the institution and inspired fellow students to pursue excellence in sports.
